The puppies now have their names! While we understand that their new owners will name them, we wanted to put our special touch on them as well. The boys are named in honor of a hero service dogs and Yellow girl is named in memory of someone special to us.
Blue Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute War Dog Chips - served in WWII with the US Army 3rd Infantry Division. The most decorated service dog. Captured 15 enemy soldiers while serving in Italy. Received a personal thanks from Gen. Eisenhower.
Brown Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute EPS Ceasar - served with the Edmonton Police Service. He was shot by while attempting to stop a subject threatening children in a school yard. End Of Watch June 23, 1998.
Yellow Girl - Silvermoon's Lil Memory in honor of Joe's mum Lillian.
Red Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute EPS Titus - served with the Edmonton Police Service - As Titus effected the apprehension of an auto thief who ran after crashing. Both were struck by a vehicle. End Of Watch August 27,1989.
Green Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute OCPD Kye - served with the Oklahoma City Police Department - Stabbed by an auto thief after the vehicle crashed and subject ran. End Of Watch August 24, 2014.
Orange Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute RPD Zeus - served gallantly for 9 years with the Ridgefield Police Department, CT - incapacitated by a degenerative hip disorder. End Of Watch April 16, 2015.
Purple Boy - Silvermoon's Tribute HRP Trakr - served with the Halifax Regional Police - named by Time magazine as a heroic dog. Trakr located, under 30 feet of debris, the last survivor of the terrorist destruction of the World Trade Center. End Of Watch April 2009 at age 14.
